** Limited-time Mattress Recycling Opportunity with SWACO
Through November 30, 2026, SWACO will accept all sizes of box springs and mattresses (no waterbeds) for FREE, but they must be dry and free of bedbugs, mold, blood, or other excessive staining. Rips, tears, and mild dirt or staining are okay. Mattresses can be delievered to the SWACO Recycling Convenience Center located at 2566 Jackson Pike Columbus, OH 43223.
*Mattresses must adhere to SWACO’s published guidelines. SWACO reserves the right to refuse mattresses for recycling should they not meet those guidelines.
If your mattress is in good condition, please consider donating it to the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio. Please double check their donation standards and call ahead to confirm acceptance.
If the mattress does not fit the criteria for the mattress recycling program and cannot be reused, contact your local city service department to schedule a bulk pick-up or take the mattress to the Franklin County Landfill for disposal.
